Pink = curious, scientific and explorative? You betcha.
I simply š this reframe!
About time someone challenged the avalanche of pink princess merchandise we’re being inundated with, as traders gear up to Xmas.
Just last week I was walking on the beach and saw a bunch of kids.
> Seven girls playing on the safety of the sand and wearing a sea of pink ā¦.
- pink t-shirts
- pink skirts
- pink shorts
- pink shoes
- pink bows
> And three boys all wearing grey and blue and exploring out on the rocks and on the edge of the water.
Is this fashion defining life, or life defining fashion?
Back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s pink was for boys.
Pink signified strong and bold.
Now? Pink signifies ‘girlyā, delicate and less adventurous.
This push for pretty, passive pink appears to be at an all time high despite strong messaging about strong women of substance creating their own destiny.
YOUR THOUGHTS? Is pink just for pretty princesses? Or can we reframe pink back again to mean something more powerful?
