3 things I learned in 2019 .. that I’ll take into 2020
2019 was an amazing year with some phenomenal highlights
-
Hosting 2 x Women of Impact retreats
-
My 2nd book made No 1 in the careers section on Amazon
-
Hiring 2 new staff – welcome to Kristen Ross and Maddie Trebilcock
-
Spending an evening with my new BFF Former First Lady, Michelle Obama in Singapore (albeit with 3499 others courtesy of @Growth Faculty )
What did I learn along the way?
-
Tracking progress is sooooooo important. We tend to undervalue what we have done in the short term. But through the lens of time we can see more clearly – especially if we’ve been tracking and measuring.
-
Letting go of the need to do everything – yep, that fierce independent blueprint catches me out every time. Having support has been amazing yet I resisted for ages. I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings!
-
Grabbing hold of opportunities that come your way – when the Michelle Obama opportunity in Singapore came up at the last minute, of course I hesitated, but then jumped in with both feet. And I would go see her speak again in a heartbeat. My new mantra? “I am not lucky, I am badass” ~ Shonda Rhimes
